Introduction to Shamanic Wisdom with Nyima Khadro at Ark of Joan

Thursday evenings from 7pm to 9pm for 4 weeks from the 5th of February 2009

Nymia Khadro is an international teacher of Reiki, Shamanism, Crystal Awareness and Yoga. She has been exploring Shamanic healing practices for the past twenty years, receiving teachings and guidance from Wisdom Holders of many different spiritual backgrounds, including Native American Indian, Tibetan and Celtic traditions. Nyima will be offering an introduction to Shamanism through a series of classes run over a four week period, with the aim of giving you some practical experience of Shamanic healing and the opportunity to discover for yourself the power of self-exploration through Shamanic journeying.

Class 1
Introductory evening to explore what is Shamanism, its relevance today and how it can help you. Discover the power of the Shaman's drum and rattle through the experience of Shamanic journey.
Class 2
We learn about the three worlds of the Shaman's journey, the importance of spiritual allies and the concept of power animal or totem and the Shamanic journey to meet your power animal.
Class 3
The focus will be on Shamanic Healing. The rattle is one of the main tools used by the Shaman in healing work. It can be used for diagnosing a problem, the healing purposes, for cleansing auras, space clearing and much more. Through the evening you will have the opportunity for hands-on practical work using the rattle.
Class 4
We will look at terms such as soul loss, power loss, intrusions and extractions. This will be the final introductory session and will include hands-on practical healing work.

MAGICKAL HEALING TECHNIQUES

An introduction into the art of healing used by practitioners of magick beginning at the self then moving to the earth energies and finally an introduction into planetary healing techniques.  

• Week 1: will focus on the self moving from the aura, personal protections and energy raising techniques..   
• Week 2: will focus on earth based healing from sympathetic magick through to spell workings.   
• Week 3: an introduction of planetary magick including the making of talismans which will include actual rituals which have been designed for previous healings.

I first became interested in natural therapies after being diagnosed with a life threatening disease. I had no quality of life and needed at least twenty-eight tablets a day to function on even the most basic level.

I was offered no hope by the medical profession and I knew that to survive I would have to completely re-evaluate my life and seek alternatives; this included studying and living by the Louise L. Hay philosophies for the last fifteen years.

Having been medication and disease free for over fourteen years, I am eager to share with others the healing power and life changing effects of natural therapies.
